Without education, job skills, or stable housing, they are pushed to the margins, with few options for rebuilding their lives. The harsh reality? Without financial independence, many are forced back into the trafficking trade just to survive. TAARA’s Survivor Program changes that. In the US and India, we equip survivors with real, marketable skills, sustainable career paths, and the support they need to stand on their own. At TAARA, our engagement with survivors begins only when they are ready to rebuild. We step in after the initial trauma care, once survivors have received the emotional and psychological support needed to start planning their future. Our process begins with referrals from trusted partners, ensuring that each survivor we meet is at a stage where they can focus on career development. From there, we assess their needs, aspirations, and skills to provide the right support—whether it’s vocational training, higher education, or entrepreneurship guidance. Our goal is not just to assist but to equip survivors with the tools to build a sustainable, independent life.
