Our Mission
TAARA equips survivors of human trafficking with skills, education, and job placement for empowered, independent lives. Our prevention campaigns and curriculum raise awareness to protect vulnerable populations from future victimization.
Our Story
Redefining Possibilities, Inspiring Change.
In 2020, as the world reeled from the COVID-19 pandemic, another crisis escalated—human trafficking surged to alarming levels. With the shift online, predators found new ways to exploit vulnerabilities, and reports of human trafficking skyrocketed worldwide. The United Nations confirmed what we saw firsthand: the pandemic had intensified trafficking on an unprecedented scale.
TAARA was born out of urgency—to support survivors beyond rescue, providing education, skills, and resources while raising awareness to prevent exploitation. Yet, as we listened to survivors, we uncovered deeper challenges: layers of trauma, systemic gaps, and obstacles to true reintegration.
Guided by our founder, Priya, we paused—not in defeat, but in reflection. Through deep research and reimagination, TAARA evolved from a response into a movement—one tackling not just rehabilitation but also prevention, empowerment, and systemic change.
This is our story—one of resilience, transformation, and an unshakable mission to build a world where every individual can live with dignity, hope, and opportunity. Join us. Together, we can turn pain into purpose and survivors into thrivers.
